SAE World Congress
The SAE World Congress Experience (WCX) took place from April 8th to 10th 2025 in Detroit Michigan. This premier event, hosted by SAE International, brought together professionals from the global mobility community to explore cutting-edge technologies, consumer insights, regulatory standards, and emerging trends. The Mission of SAE International is to advance mobility knowledge and solutions for the benefit of humanity.
Eric participated to the event, presenting two papers:
- “European Initiatives for User-Centric Design of Electric Vehicles” a paper written by EFFEREST, MINDED and SmartCorners. The paper presents the latest advancements of the research projects and showcases their complementarities to address the European priorities as identified in the 2Zero SRIA. Thanks a lot to Florian Ratz and all co-authors for this great result.
- “European Initiatives Addressing High Efficiency and Low-Cost Electric Motors for Circularity and Low use of Rare Resources” a paper written by EM–TECH, HEFT, MAXIMA, VOLTCAR and ClimaFlux. This paper outlines the latest advances of the projects and showcases their complementarities to address the European priorities as identified in the 2Zero SRIA. All following the target of high efficiency and low-cost electric motors for circularity and low use of rare resources. Thanks a lot to all Eric and all co-authors for bringing this piece of work together.


We are convinced that challenging the scientific and technological excellence from our projects with experts from different disciplines, different cultures, different geographical markets will strengthen the overall impact and innovation. It is about incorporating long-term experience (and tradition!) with agility to innovate.
